I have a couple of his studies and while they are technical basically the bottom line is if you heat aspartame with a food that is neutral, and water is neutral , it converts to the D amino acids which have not been as tested for safety.
I spoke to Dr. Jeffrey Bada some years ago before his retirement and questioned him on Neotame. He said they simply scrambled the formula, just another aspartame product.
I call your attention to the fact he says decomposition would happen with the misuse of aspartame, such as baking and heating. Leave it to our FDA to approve aspartame for baking when its not suppose to be heated, and then throw heed to the wind and allow further decomposition with this toxin being granted blanket approval. If you consume it, your temperature is 98.6 whereas it breaks down and adulterates at 86 degrees. The bottom line is put it in your mouth and you consumed a poison.
