I received this from Bob Flint, Mission Possible Maine on the Cheeseburger Bill. This bill is really very unconstitutional. Understand that some people overeat because they want to and would not file such a frivolous suit to begin with. And it would be thrown out of court. But this bill is aimed at saving the aspartame manufacturers from their crime of putting an addictive neurotoxin on the market that makes you crave carbohydrates so you gain weight. What's more they misrepresent by many times having this product labeled as "diet" such as Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. So people thinking they can lose weight by using diet products in reality gain weight. If you go to http://www.dorway.com and read the protest of the National Soft Drink Association, at the bottom (part of the congressional record) you will see Dr. Wurtman's affidavit admitting that aspartame makes you crave carbohydrates so you gain weight. They also quote the law that makes it a crime to add this to carbonated beverages because it decomposes and adulterates the drink. Yet, they turned around and did it anyway with full knowledge.

In l998 the Trocho Study done in Barcelona Spain showed that this formaldehyde converted from the methanol (classified as a narcotic) embalms, accumulates in the cells and damages DNA with most toxicity in the liver but substantial amounts in the brain, retina, kidneys and adipose tissue (fat cells). With this liver this toxic it would be difficult to lose weight and when you see someone who has heavy hips and thighs they just may be an aspartame victim because of this accumulation of formaldehyde in the fat cells as per this study. You can also read Dr. Sandra Cabot's paper on www.dorway.com Aspartame Makes You Fatter and explains aspartame's effect on the liver. Aspartame is sold as NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, Naturtaste, Canderel, E951, etc. Don't let them get away with this. Contact your Senator today and stop this from happening. This is to save people like Monsanto, Ajinomoto, Merisant, Child's and other aspartame manufacturers from paying for their crimes. They have caused this epidemic of obesity and want this law passed so they can be exonerated from paying for their crime. More information on Aspartame and Rumsfeld being released today in the Artificially Sweetened Times by The Idaho Observer (http://www.idaho-observer.com).

Do pass this on and read below from Bob Flint:

I got this from a colleague:

READ THIS NOW AND TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION!!!!
YOU ARE CALLED ON TO CONTACT YOUR SENATOR AND CONGRESSMEN FOR WHAT ITS WORTH...AND VOICE YOUR ANGER AND DISCONTENT,.... STRONGLY !!!

Do this Friday...please we need everyone to help in this.
THIS BILL IS CRIMINAL!

Just got an article from Australia in which the appended is a part.

(WHY HAVEN'T WE HEARD ABOUT THIS LOCALLY?)

Even as you read this, George W. Bush and his corporate supporters are pushing a Bill through Congress. Called the "Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act" also known as the "Cheeseburger Bill", this sweeping law bans anyone from suing food manufacturers, sellers and distributors. Even if it comes out that they purposely added an addictive chemical to their foods. Read about it for yourself at:

http://www.local6.com/health/2911130/detail.html

The Bill has already been rushed through the House of Representatives, and is due for the same rubber stamp at Senate level. It is important that Bush and his corporate supporters get it through before the media lets everyone know about MSG, the intentional Nicotine for food.

This means the end of any possibility of ever nailing Monsanto and/or Rumsfeld, etc.

Think about it, HARD !
