Subject: Adverse Effects of Aspartame

Dear Jeffrey,

Here you will see attached the Current Bibliographies in Medicine, Adverse Effects of Aspartame. Please note that this is dated 1986 and since then there have been hundreds or thousands of more independent scientific peer reviewed studies. This appears to be about 142 adverse studies on aspartame listed by the US Department of Health & Human Services, Public Health Service and National Institute of Health. US Department of health and human services is the FDA.

So, if the FDA is wiling to say there are adverse effects and list 117 studies at least, even a quarter of a century ago, then aspartame causes harm. Can you imagine a quarter of a century more with adverse studies on aspartame, and it doesn't stop. Plus you are well aware of their report of 92 documented symptoms including death.

So how can any government agency say aspartame is safe, especially when the US government itself admits adverse effects showing aspartame is not safe? Please reply. Remember no studies were done in the UK. You can't have it both ways, either aspartame causes adverse effects and is dangerous or its safe and doesn't cause adverse effects. Also, the FDA puts out a list of 92 symptoms including death. Can't get much worse than that.
