Subject: Sweetener warning labels are totally unnecessary - Wrong! Death can occur without labels
Professor Andrew Renwick
Professor of Medicine
University of Southampton, UK
Dear Professor Renwick:
You are a Professor of Medicine?? If I headed the University of Southampton you would be gone for publishing a statement that could cause death and disability, and because you did absolutely no research or you would have known how absurd your statement is.
I'm not an MD but I have researched aspartame for 20 years, 7 days a week. I'm the founder of Mission Possible International with operations in 42 countries of the world. What that does is get the facts to the world in their languages. Why do we have to do that? Because of people like the International Sweetener Association who has full knowledge and puts out propaganda. Also, of course, the regulatory agencies who are loyal to industry and the professional organizations (ladies of the evening) who are funded by the manufacturer, as well as the front groups.
On August 27, 2000, in Scotland on Sunday, I answered the International Sweeteners Association who said before putting a sweetener on the market it has to undergo rigorous safety testing. I explained "it did and failed". Then I gave the info, On Jan 10, 1977 in a 33 page letter, FDA Chief Council Richard Merrill recommended to US Attorney Sam Skinner that a grand jury investigate Searle for "apparent violations of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act 21 USC 331 and the False Reports to the Government Act, 18 USC 1001, for their willing and knowing failure to make reports to the FDA, required the Act 21 USC 355 (i) and for concealing material facts and making false statements in reports of animal studies conducted to establish the safety of aspartame."
So you see the safety of aspartame was never established. It was not approved by science, it was approved by the political chicanery of Don Rumsfeld. The FDA Board of Inquiry revoked the petition for approval: http://www.mpwhi.com/fda_petition1.doc From the movie, Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World: http://www.soundandfury.tv/pages/rumsfeld.html In another email I'll send you the Aspartame Resource Guide so you can get the medical texts on the subject as well as the movie. In the UK you can get the movie from firstname.lastname@example.org a little faster. Time to do some homework which is always essential before putting your foot in your mouth.
When it comes to killing babies because there is no warning I find it difficult to use tact. I remember one lady who called who said she used Diet Cokes through 3 pregnancies and has 3 autistic children. If there had been a warning she would have 3 healthy children. The whole family has been destroyed. The husband and wife work two jobs to create a trust for the children when they are no longer around. That's what lack of warnings do. This is what you want?! Did our FDA know aspartame would cause birth defects? Of course, they did, here is the record where they admit it: http://www.mpwhi.com/fda_admits_aspartme_causes_birth_defects.htm Maybe if you had just done some research on the Internet you would have picked up a lot of records. Notice these records are from the FDA themselves, the ones they sealed.
Talking about sealed records. When I spoke with Jerome Bressler who retired from the FDA I thanked him for the Bressler Report showing some of the fraud of the original manufacturer. He told me that he was upset because the FDA had removed the worst 20% and those studies had to be returned. What were they? They were teratology studies and it took 8 years to return them to his report. He recently died but at least before his death Lane Shore, Mission Possible Chicago, handed them to him. Here they are added back to his report forever! http://www.mpwhi.com/fda_hid_research_that_damned_aspartame.htm
Here is a complete report on how aspartame causes birth defects. The Denmark study just proved what we already knew: http://www.mpwhi.com/aspartame_causes_birth_defects.htm
Don't miss a word. I've done the research you should have done. Look how many years it has been known and what Dr. Deagle has said reported by the European Environmental Association.
Now if you go to Brussels on the 19th with this baloney Parliament is not going to be very happy and they are getting a copy of this report. I'm also asking all those in the UK to send it to Parliament in case I miss some new members. You see aspartame was approved in England through a business deal with Professor Paul Turner. He approved it without anyone knowing and no studies were done in the UK. Parliament found out and had a big blowout, but the order was not rescinded unfortunately. The article was in the Guardian. Here it is: http://www.wnho.net/how_aspartame_got_approved_in_england.htm Aspartame was then rubber stamped around the world. In fact, when I lectured in New Zealand, Food Standards told me the same thing, no studies were done there.
Now Parliament is having an opportunity to at least insist on labeling. I was in Brussels in 2002 and spoke with Miguel-Angel.Granero-Rosell and Peter Wagstaffe. Felicity Mawson, Mission Possible UK was with me. I was wired and the information recorded by a documentarian. It was very interesting. I gave them all the damning research and information they needed to ban aspartame. They eliminated every bit of it from the review because they had already made up their mind. OLAF, the anti-fraud people there found out, in fact, that only one person made the decision. No more UK Commission on Food, it became the European Food Safety Authority, EFSA. When I flew into England I was met by Immigration who didn't even ask my name, but immediately opened my suitcases and confiscated all records on aspartame. I won't tell the whole story but I was locked up for 3 1/2 hours with questions like "If we allow you in England how many people will find out about the dangers of aspartame, and how many lectures do you have." Of course I told them if they sent me back to America I would be front-page news in Europe. In the end they returned the material and I entered England. This shows you how the manufacturers do not want people in the UK to find out the real facts on aspartame. Now they know. Aspartame is absolutely responsible for a lot of the autism epidemic and reports showing how it escalated after aspartame was approved have been done by Doctors Ken Stoller and John Harrison.
Now you see the necessity of having a global volunteer force and those who can contend with people like you who put out information without research. Or are you paid to put out this misinformation? Almost 100 per cent of independent research, peer reviewed, show the problems. Anyone who refutes it is working or loyal to the manufacturer. Nobody in their right mind would refute independent peer reviewed research over 3 decades. The aspartame industry has been shown to only cover up and defend their product with research. Searle who FDA tried to have indicted for fraud was sold to Monsanto in 1985 and their research discussed is on www.holisticmed.com/aspartame Monsanto sold to Ajinomoto and others. Unfortunately the defense team hired the US Prosecutors or aspartame would not be on the market today. We have gotten the info all over the world, that's why Ajinomoto has changed the name to AminoSweet, to deceive the public. The excitoneurotoxic amino acids in aspartame do not sweeten, it the free methyl alcohol - you know, the product that can kill a baby. That's why many restaurants have signs that tell pregnant women to not use alcohol. The phenylalanine, of course, causes birth defects and mental retardation as well as discussed by pediatric professor of genetics, Dr. Louis Elsas before Congress. You can read the congressional records on http://www.mpwhi.com scroll down to banners.
While you're reading the congressional record be sure to note that FDA toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross, stated that me is an endocrine disrupting agent, stimulates prolactin, changes the menses and causes infertility. Then when they get off and get pregnant, if they get back on, aspartame is an abortifacient and a teratogen! Also remember that not only is there a PKU warning on aspartame but Dr. James Bowen, physician and biochemist, states that aspartame can actually cause PKU. Read this letter from Dr. Russell Blaylock: http://www.wnho.net/mh_aspartame_letter.htm So much for the front groups who spread misinformation.
You might say, I'm the messenger. The medical text, 1000 pages, Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, http://www.aspartameispoison.com by H. J. Roberts, M.D. is dedicated to me. The information that I release comes from the experts. Dr. Ralph Walton who did his own "independent" study had to be stopped by the institution because the administrator who took part in it lost his vision in one eye, one woman had conjunctival bleeding and some subjects said they were being poisoned. They were. This shows you whenever an independent study is done it will always show aspartame for what it is, a poison. Dr. Walton came to England when Parliament wanted aspartame banned. He has told Food Standards and EFSA that the ADI should be zero! His study used an ADI below what FDA considers safe! He also did the research for 60 Minutes having to do with scientific peer reviewed research and funding, showing 92% of independent research shows the problems.
Consider Neotame on the market unlabeled, a more powerful aspartame. Just today someone called whose daughter is chemically hypersensitive to chlorine. Yet she uses Diet Coke and Splenda. I hope you know with Splenda its chlorinated sugar, like drinking bleach. She has had grand mal seizures using both and both have been proven to cause seizures. She is off now so the seizures probably will stop. But what if she gets Neotame unlabeled. She could immediately have a grand mal seizure and possibly lose her life.
What do I expect of you when you attend the sweeteners association meeting in Brussels on the 19th of May? I expect an apology. If you can't do that I expect your absence! Nobody should speak without doing their homework and report shows that is the case. All you have done is picked up propaganda from a front group who knows the truth but doesn't tell it.
Sweeteners for the most part if they have chemicals in them are not safe. Aspartame is an addictive, excitoneurotoxic, carcinogenic, genetically engineered drug and adjuvant that damage the mitochondria and interacts with drugs and vaccines. Splenda is chlorinated sugar, we call it DDT-Lite. Acesulfame potassium caused cancer and leukemia in original studies. Actually, the only sweetener I know of that has been analyzed and contains no chemicals, only food, is Just Like Sugar, http://www.justlikesugarinc.com It is marketed in the UK.
Here is Dr. John Olney's testimony to the Board of Inquiry of the FDA who tried to prevent its approval. Read what it says aspartame does to the brains of children or the fetus: http://www.wnho.net/dr_olney1.doc Here is also the Report For Schools: http://www.mpwhi.com/report_on_aspartame_and_children.htm You'll see Dr. Olney's original study on aspartic acid in aspartame as well as info from the ADD people, Feingold who banned aspartame from their diets. Now you have heard from the real experts! Do you know why the FDA hid the records showing aspartame causes birth defects? Because if anyone knew it would have to be taken off the market, and should never have been approved. Don't you ever ever say aspartame is safe again!

SWEETENER WARNING LABELS ARE 'TOTALLY UNNECESSARY, SAYS EXPERT
Interview with Andrew Renwick
Professor of Medicine, University of Southampton
By Nathan Gray, 09-May-2011, duration 04:42
Recent calls from Members of European Parliament (MEPs) for warning labels on products containing artificial sweeteners are 'totally unnecessary', according to Professor Andrew Renwick.
Recent studies suggesting increased risks of cancer and premature birth have once again brought the safety of aspartame into question. However Prof Renwick, a former scientific advisor for the International Sweetener Association, told FoodNavigator that the recent research has already been assessed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), who found that there is no health concern from the data provided.
Renwick said that human intakes of sweeteners are set to be 100 time lower than the safe levels found in animals such as rats, adding that regulatory agencies such as EFSA assess the evidence for a sweeteners safety and only approve it for use if they are satisfied that it is safe for use.
There are strict regulatory procedures that have to be followed for a sweetener to be approved for use in the human diet, said Renwick.
"I find it very difficult to understand why European MEP's would not accept advise from the agency that they have helped to organise and establish to give them advice on the safety of food and food components," he said.
Professor Renwick will be speaking in depth on the safety of artificial sweeteners at the upcoming International Sweeteners Association conference in Brussels.
